Science Museum (Child's Play Part II)

Sunday, March 9th

Our second stop for the day was the Science Museum.

That is it off in the distance.

In the entrance, there was a pendulum clock. It shows how the earth is rotating and how time changes. It knocks over one of the pins every minute. Yes we stayed there until we finally got to see one fall.

These were the girls that worked at the museum. I thought it was smart putting them in yellow suits so they could be spotted easily. Not sure I would wear yellow, but they looked good in it.

Miho packed a lunch for all of us! It was amazing. One of the things in the bento were these tiny little fish. If you click on the picture you can see that the tail and head (and eyes) are still attached. RJ LOVED them. I thought Miss Sara would get a kick out of this picture.

This was a magnetic filed. When you pushed the button, you had one minute to get all the little silver disks to stick to the 2 big magnets. RJ and Sara loved this, until....

When time ran out, and all the little silver disks came crashing down, it made a loud noise. RJ still doesn't care much for loud noises, so he would back up and wait. Sara stayed as close as possible so she could start all over again.

This was a pretty cool mirror trick. How many of us can you count....

This was a machine that you placed the 'ball' on top and as it rolled down the 'lane' it would ring several bells. Sara loved running back and forth listening and watching.

I truly believe Sara could have spent an entire day doing this. I hope you enjoy!
