Easter Sunday

Saturday, March 22, 2008

After Grandma Pat and Aunt Mary left, we were able to color some Easter eggs so the Easter Bunny could come hide them for RJ and Sara. This was Sara's first year helping. RJ loved telling her how t do it.

Mitch was helping Sara, while I helped RJ.
Don't worry, there is nothing wrong with RJ's forehead, he just wanted a band-aid for his tiny scratch.

Sara did make a mess, but she sure had fun.

When the children went to bed that night, they put out their Easter baskets in hopes that they had been good enough for the Easter Bunny to leave them treats and hide their colored eggs. The next morning when RJ woke up, he was so excited to find eggs hidden in the house.
He started collecting them, before he looked in his Easter basket.
Sara wasn't quite sure what was happening but her brother was excited so she was too.
The Easter bunny was kind enough to leave a huge bag of candy filled eggs for RJ and Sara to share later that day with their friends. This is the note the Easter Bunny left.

I was so proud of RJ. He enjoyed helping his sister find eggs and he even showed her how to open them so she could eat the candy that was inside.

Look at all those eggs!
"Me too Mommy!"

This was one of the gifts the Easter Bunny left for the kids. Don't they look cute!!
