Easter Fun with Friends

Sunday, March 23, 2008

We were invited to join an Easter picnic with some of RJ's friends from school. When we discovered the weather might be bad, we suggested everyone come to our place and we could use the large meeting room for the Easter celebration.

Faviola brought the stuff for dying and decorating the eggs. Each child was to bring 2 hard boiled eggs to decorate. Everyone had fun.

Faviola even brought wax sticks to draw with first. Sara tried her hardest to make a picture.

Faviola and Kimi.
Even the parents got into it.

When Sara finished decorating, she decided to climb into the book shelf. Daddy thought it was cute...
Then they played games together.
RJ's turn to be cute...
After everyone was finished decorating, Faviola had the kids sing the Easter song they are learning at school...Little Bunny Foofoo
Only in the Japanese version, he kisses them on the head.
After they were done singing, we turned them lose in the apartment building to see if the Easter Bunny left anything for them there.

They all found many eggs!
Lots of eggs, RJ!

Cute dress Sara (Grandma Leister bought this dress 2 years ago, it finally fits).
After the egg hunt, we had Easter lunch. Probably not what you all had back in America, Btu we enjoyed it. I had fried rice, potstickers, fried chicken and many other pieces in my bento.

RJ, Sara and Kimi had similar bentos.
This was the snack table after lunch.
Then the kids decided to play train..and you guessed it, RJ was the driver.

The bookcase became a popular place for all the kids.

We had a great time. It was fun to experience an American holiday in Japan and to share it with friends.
