Today was the first day of school for RJ and Sara. Here in Japan the school year begins in April and ends in March. Their school did not have a spring vacation, so the 5-6 year olds graduated last week (March 25th), and today they all moved up a class. RJ was a Panda and he is now a Pony. He is very excited. He remembers that the ponies (and polar bears (5-6yrs) ) got to do lots more things than the pandas ever did. And we were excited to hear that he will have one-on-one Japanese lessons with one of the Japanese teachers.
As for Sara's class, she did not change class names. Her class was large last year, so they split them this year. She will stay a Koala which is for anyone who is not 3 before April 1.
This was them all ready to go into school today. I had to hurry up to take the picture because they were very excited to go to school. Aren't they cute!!
