After another great dinner, which my wonderful husband always cooks, I find myself wondering, "what are we going to do tonight?" It is pretty darn cold outside (it snowed yesterday) and the kids are full of energy. Family Movie Night (remember we have no television) probably won't make them tired but we can't go for a walk or bike ride because poor Sara is going to freeze to death.
It is amazing how children's imagination can take off when they have had several weeks of trying to find ways to entertain themselves. Tonight started with a fun game of "Dog". RJ (opps, I mean Doggie George) wanted me to throw the ball and he would chase after it. It was quite hilarious to watch this. Of course, Sara had to join in on the fun and she became Sally the pretty dog. She didn't get down on all fours like George at first, but she caught on quick enough. Then it was treat time and both George and Sally begged for more. Then they decided they were thirsty so they got a drink of water.
After RJ's knees got tired, daddy decided on another form of entertainment. I hope you enjoy tonight's video clip.
After riding the bucking bull (if you don't read Berenstain Bear books, sorry you might not understand) daddy decided it was time for some aerobatics. First it was just standing
Then there were one legged lifts
and on to balancing acts that didn't go so well
And of course, daddy always has to end things with a tickle fest and what better way to achieve max tickling than to 'trap' your child.
I hope all if you are fortunate enough to have nights like this because that is what memories are made of. Good Night!

Those are so precious. And little Sara saying more rides, more rides (or it is "bull rides") in the video, how cute!
